…and (for me, at least) it’s an exciting one.
My Dad’s been to Chesterfield market again, and bought me a couple of bundles of old Beanos. A dozen 80s issues (well, eleven actually, plus one from 1978), and only one of which that I’ve already got. The first big thing is the fact that this brings my total number of comics to over 500 – 501, to be precise, 304 of which are ‘old’ (70s/80s/90s), something of a personal acheivement.
But the really exciting thing for me is the acquisition of issues 2281 and 2284 of The Beano, from April 1986, during the big event of my childhood – the disappearance of Gnasher!
So there. I’m ridiculously happy to have some Beanos from this time, as it’s one of my most vivid memories of my childhood and comics in general. And, as usual, you can see my complete list of comics here.
