Just a quick post, as I suspect that if I Tweet this, it’ll take at least ten Tweets, and monopolise people’s timelines, pissing off other people, especially those who know how to rite proper.
Anyway, it’s episode four of Red Dwarf X tonight. I am looking forward to this – every teaser we’ve had so far, it’s been the clips from tonight’s episode, Entangled, that have raised the most laughs. However, I’m a little concerned. I like to watch ‘my stuff’ – ie the shows I love (Doctor Who, Red Dwarf etc) – on my own, at my flat, in HD, with no interruptions. Alone. But while this worked fine for episode one (Trojan), I had some kind of blackout/fit/spasm/panic attack/godknowswhat before episode two, which resulted in me running across to my parents’ to watch Fathers & Suns as I couldn’t get my TV remotes or phone to work properly (I’d pressed a wrong button, and my brain then chose that moment to implode slightly) – all very embarrassing, really.
When it came to episode three last week, I was still a little concerned about what had happened the week before, and the possibility of it happening again, that while Lemons was entertaining enough to raise the odd smile, the fact of the matter was that I just didn’t really like it. Which, when it comes to me and Red Dwarf, is a somewhat disturbing situation.
So, tonight. I’m hoping that I a) enjoy it, and b) don’t knock myself out on the corner of the coffee table as I try not to spill my glass of Pepsi Max while attempting to open a packet of Quavers. Here’s hoping.
Hmm. That’s more than 140 characters, isn’t it? Probably best that I didn’t Tweet it.
